Bajaj Auto bags top 4 slots in Motorcycle Exports

Bajaj Auto has wrapped up the top three slots for motorcycle exports in 2014-15 with the Boxer 100 selling 603,444 units, as per SIAM data for fiscal year 2014-15.
The Boxer was followed by the Discover 125 with sales of 187,885 units, CT100 with 158,374 units and Boxer 150 with 126,690 units. The size of this market segment is about 330,224 units so the Discover accounts for a dominating 57 percent of this segment. Bajaj dominated the top 10 positions with its Platina, Pulsar 200NS, Pulsar 150, Discover 100 and Pulsar 180 all featuring in the list.
At the launch of the Bajaj Discover 150 in Mumbai last year, managing director Rajiv Bajaj said globalization remains a key plan of the company’s business strategy. In pursuit of that, the company has seen a CAGR of 25 percent over the last decade. Nigeria is the company’s biggest market and accounts for half a million bikes sold.
